Surfing

Surfing has grown in popularity in Sri Lanka in recent years, owing to the country's gorgeous coastline and regular waves. Sri Lanka has a variety of surf areas appropriate for surfers of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced riders.

The surf season in Sri Lanka is determined by monsoon patterns. From May to September, the east coast has the finest surf, while the south and southwest coasts have the best waves from November to April. However, certain locations provide year-round surfing possibilities.
