Wilpattu National Park is located close to the historic city of Anuradhapura and was declared as a National Park in 1938. The thickly grown the dry zone forest with many villus, or natural lakes offers you stunning landscape sceneries during our wildlife safari adventure in the park. The national park is home to mammals such as Elephants, Sri Lankan Leopards, Spotted Deer, Lankan Sloth Bear, and Buffalos. Some of the birds you can spot at the national park are Garganey, White Ibis, Whistling Teal, Pintail, Spoonbill, Large White Egret and Cattle Egret.
