Located in sacred Mihintale, Anuradhapura, Kalu Diya Pokuna is a large pond with a monastery amidst the thick jungle. Being a place ideal for spiritual hikers, the site demands a hike through the forest to experience the serenity of this place. Translate to English as the 'Pond with Blackwater', the pond was used by monks who lived in the monastery to bath and supply water for day-to-day requirements.
